Petroglyph National Monument

The Petroglyph National Monument was only about 10 minutes from our accommodation in Albuquerque. Thanks to the kids we could go for free.

When we got to the Visitor Centre we watched a short movie about the petroglyphs and the Pueblo people. The boys then got some Junior Ranger activity books. After completing 5 different activities, they got awarded some certificates, badges and patches. They did have to promise to look after the National Park today and in the future...

We learnt in the video we watched that this meant ' Circle of Life'.

This was the sign on the door of the toilets:

We then went for a few walks around Boca Negra Canyon to look for petroglyphs.
